What Is Dead May Never Die was sort of Frankenstein-ed together with riffs from another song that I felt the groove could've been used in a better format.

Taking influences from Lamb Of God, Meshhugah, Intervals and Periphery, this is probably the heaviest track off of the EP. Plus, being the only track to feature my solo vocals and first ever successful poly-rhythms (YAY!).

Lyrically the song speaks about governmental frustration, but more of how we're born into a world faceless and innocent of anything. But the world corrupts us, teaching us how we're born to be slaves to people who've put themselves in charge. There's lack of hope through death and destruction around those who are chained down. But they'll always fight to break those chains.

Generally, What Is Dead speaks about a process, ending with the title and words spoken by House Greyjoy in Game Of Thrones. I'd wanted to reference a movie/tv series in my writing after hearing A Day To Remember's 'I'm made of wax Larry, what are you made of?'. This felt somewhat appropriate to conclude the development.
